About
I am invested in making the Australian games ecosystem better for everyone. My practice as a game producer spans roles that further this goal. With Screen Australia I helped revive, design and execute national government funding programs that enabled over $12M AUD to be granted to over 120 game projects during my tenure, including projects such as The Dungeon Experience, Gubbins, Blaktasia, Momento, Copycat and The Master’s Pupil. With Freeplay, one of the world's longest-running independent gamemaker support organisations, I am an active volunteer board member, contributing strategy, advocacy and communications expertise to improve the experience of making games independently in Australia.I am highly collaborative, creative, strategic and a fantastic communicator. I enjoy working with close-knit, whip-smart teams to create experiences that move people. I thrive off bringing the right people together to further a cause and in creating inclusive environments that allow all involved to feel empowered to unleash their potential.I’m currently working full-time as senior producer with Crossy Road developers Hipster Whale, working on an unannounced new project. I have an honours degree in Japanese studies and a background in writing. My experience spans game production, product management and game investment roles with Tin Man Games, Nintendo, Snowman, Fortress, Screen Australia and Hipster Whale. My games career began in 2015, dabbling with game writing and tabletop roleplaying game design.I’m passionate about playfulness being one of the few things in life worth taking seriously, and a people-first approach drives my philosophy as a producer and creative leader. In addition to my current work with Hipster Whale and Freeplay, I'm part of Screen Tasmania’s Expert Advisory Group. I’m interested in expanding my experience as a consultant and board member in the creative industries - if you'd like to chat regarding an opportunity, please get in touch using the button below.I speak conversational Japanese and enjoy reading, writing, music-making, and hiking in my downtime.
